Pololike kinase 3 resides in the nucleolus of mammalian cells.

Pericentrin is required for normal mitotic spindle formation.  

Cells which do not express detectable levels of pericentrin following treatment with siRNA  fail to form spindles in mitosis (asterisks).  Arrow- cell which expresses near normal levels of pericentrin at the centrosome.
